The first services of the Linary Church of Christ were held in the late 1880's.
The first church building was a small log house utilized as both a church and the community school house.
The property for the church building and adjacent cemetery was
donated by Captain Robert Swan. The second building that housed the church and the cemetary still exist just down the road from our present location.
The church is located just past the historic Homestead's and Cumberland Mountain State Park in the Linary community at the base of the Hinch and Black Mountain, one of the most beautiful settings in all of Cumberland County. It is a destination church situated on 13 acres along Old Hwy 28, about ten miles south of Crossville, Tennessee off U.S. Hwy 127.
We strive to be a God honoring, Christ centered, Bible based, Spirit led family of God's people who seek to experience the Life, Love and Community of Jesus Christ.
We are imperfect people, living imperfect lives...and trying to follow a perfect God. We know that all of us fail at that task because we are human. But we believe in encouraging one another to accept the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ that provides second, third and fourth chances in life through his indescribable love.
We believe in a God who can do immeasureably more than all we can ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
We invite you to take a look around our site and check us out. But more importantly, we encourage you to come out to the country and see for yourself the refreshing nature of worshiping God in a church without walls!
